TELL ME WHO I AM / Creative & Art direction, Design
“Tell me who I am”. When this Movistar project arrived at Manuel’s hands, this wasn’t only a title, but without any doubt, the key point that needed to be addressed visually. The base idea was to create the correct symbolic approach with a strong graphic foundation, easily associated with the historic time-frame of the show.
In this new Movistar production, a journalist receives a proposal to investigate the risky life of his great-grandmother, a woman who is only known to have fled Spain, abandoning her husband and son shortly before the Civil War broke out.
Manuel decided to emphasize the relationship between the main symbol (The Rose) and the different historic scenarios represented along the story, and take it to the heart of every spectator, because the real representation of this story ought to be the people who feel represented by the protagonist’s life.
They are the reason this show exists so we put the rose at the very centre of the visual language as a representation of each heart and its passion.
