OLINDA / Editorial Design, Illustration
For this catalogue the attention was centered on generating different pieces that would illustrate the spirit of the collection, avoiding texts and focusing on strong visual content through illustration and photography to represent each piece in the collection.
The brief stated the need for an appealing publication, capable of maintaining a consistant visual identity through all pages and what the brand wanted to communicate.
There was a strong consistency between the content and its final design as a season brand catalogue. The graphic language is based upon the use of centered characters for each clothing design, which produces an elegant layout of the page, adding energy by a cosmopolitan visual direction on the illustrations, related to the spirit of Olinda.
Additional external elements were added to produce a sort of aura indicative of the spiritual and magical nature of the collection.
.
This aura grows and shrinks depending on each piece of the collection, differentiating all them. All of these aspects, combined with an intense purification of the details in each drawing, led to a set of illustrations that were strong in their own right and thus a clear contribution with respect to the collection.
