Wild Safary, is a spiritual follow-up to western African traditions, through which local and western musicians have collaborated on several gigs and tours. This is an album, matching western producers with musicians from Niger and Mali. This time, Lovemonk recruited western record producers to twiddle knobs for western Africa acts.
The situation in Niger and Mali has been out of the media spotlight for too long. Not only will their music shine a light on the incredible musical talent coming out of both countries, it will raise much-needed funds for the invaluable work there and focus the world's attention on the area once again, seeing it as a place of inspiration, creativity and hope.
