Smart home/connected hime category is a giant land grab: which platform will create a home experience that proactively will make your home life easier, more efficient and relaxing? Ecobee’s new brand thinking will lead the product and service design, so we expect to see everything about their evolution going forward.
End game for Ecobee is to create the empathic home, the guardian or butler who anticipates your needs, wows and “Ahhs” you at home. Their head of experience design describes it as beauty and the beast: beauty design, built to anticipate your primal needs.
